- Hello and greetings from Soda Springs, California! This weekend I’ll be leaving home and my ever so amazing partner and heading for Southern California. There I will have a great home base (thanks Mom and Bro!) to make sure all is in order, as best it can be, for my upcoming hike of the PCT. I will be starting my walk in the first week of May. Will I make it one day, one week or four months? I have no idea, but I’ll have to be happy with whatever I can achieve. I will strive to remind myself that it is all in the journey no matter how long or short! But here’s to giving it a shot…hope there’s still some water out there! In the mean time I’ll think back to not so distant times, with lots of water.
